Keithley 707A connecting two rows

Post by pagemillroad » September 24th, 2014, 9:48 am

We have a 707A with two matrices, one low voltage and the other HV. We'd like to be able to have the rows of both matrices connected so that we would not have to physically move the connection from one row to the other. Is there a way to accomplish this internally on the 707A? Our only option seems to be to add a triax splitter and connect both rows together externally.

Hello,

First a concern: what voltages will you be using? Are you keeping the voltages within the rating of the low voltage card?

The answer about row expansion will depend on the specific model of matrix cards involved. Some use backplane relays in the 707A but some do not. Can you update with exact models (7072-HV, 7174A, etc.)?
