Acquiring thermocouple data with KUSB-3108 using Labview

Post by Jamal_IE » November 8th, 2014, 9:32 am

I'm acquiring thermocouple data with KUSB-3108 using Labview 2013 and It's working perfect. I just want to know about the built-in temperature sensor for Cold Junction Compensation on channel 0. Could you please let me know if it is a thermistor sensor with reference input as voltage or current? or an IC temperature sensor with voltage or current as reference input? I want to acquire and display CJC temperature data with thermocouple acquired data on computer screen.

Regards

Jamal,

Our manuals and data sheets don't tell us exactly which chip is used, but the CJC is probably something like the LM35 sensor. As the documentation indicates, the sensor in the KUSB-3108 gives 10mV per degree C.
