Measuring pressure amplitudes

Post by nrgtik » November 5th, 2015, 2:34 am

Dear Sir,
I have purchased a data acquisition Model 2701. I would like to use it to measure pressure amplitudes.
In fact, an acoustic wave is traveling into a tube and hence the air inside the tube is vibrating. Pressure sensors mounted on the tube wall give me an analog signal and I would like to have a digital signal. Can I use this data acquisition model as an A/D Converter?
Thank you in advance

Model 2701 can have up to 80 dual pole channels. It depends on which scanner card is used.
Model 7708 is a good choice. It has 40 channels.
The Model 2701 can measure DCV, ACV, DCI, ACI, Temp.
Each channel can have its own math function(MX+B).
So you measure a voltage, run through the math and get pressure.
So yes, the Model 2701 acts as an A/D converter for these channels.
