KUSB-488B Trigger command

Post by [email protected] » September 6th, 2016, 12:56 pm

For Ieee_32m.dll ver 9.3.2 the manual implies there is a supported trigger command - we are migrating from SERIAL 500 to this product, but this command is not in the examples, and using dependency walker, there is no entry point in the DLL for a trigger command.

I'm not sure if I am missing something or what. Here is the manual page 2-48

Description Sends the group execute trigger (GET) GPIB message to a device. If the address
is constant NOADDR, the GET messages are sent to the devices that are
currently listen-active on the GPIB bus.
Syntax Microsoft C/C++ and Borland C++
void Trigger (int board_desc, Addr4882_t address)
Visual Basic
call Trigger (ByVal ud As Integer,
ByVal address As Integer)
Parameters board_desc: Board ID
address: The device address; the device to be triggered

Trigger is an "NI Command-Compatible" Function but not a "Keithley command-compatible function, therefore, it's exported by gpib-32.dll but not by ieee_32m.dll.

Please also refer to the KI488 Reference.pdf for the details.
