quickDAQ freezes with KUSB-3100

I have just taken delivery of a KUSB-3100 and connected it to a Pentium 4, 2.8 GHz, 1GB RAM HP, running XP SP3. quickDAQ opens OK but once I press play, it hangs, so badly that the cntl-alt-del facilities can't quit it, nor can Windows exit, the power button has to be held for 5 s to turn off. Before pressing play, the green LED is on on the side of the KUSB-3100 and after pressing play, it flashes. Similar results with the freeware 8-channel DVM, except sometime it's possible to quit that.

Two years later, this is STILL a problem! I have a new KUSB3100 with QuickDataAcq v1.0.6 which gives the same behaviour on a Dell Latitude E6230 running Win7. Any chance it'll be fixed please? Not a good start!

QuickDAQ with KUSB-3108 works fine on windows xp and windows 8 OS
