I use the FFT (math function) of my MDO3024 oscilloscope to measure the RMS (dBv) of a no sinusoidal signal.
But I can not measure the RMS voltage of the signal which the peak to Peak level is higher 372V; I use an oscilloscope probe x100. The FFT displays 42,39dBV: The amplitude of the signal incrase but the FFT RMS is always 42,39dBv, it's like a saturation, see attachement.
Is it something wrong with my oscilloscope configuration ? the FFT can not calculate a RMS higher than 43,9dBv ?
