AFG3022C CH1 as trigger for CH2?

Post by sxtysvn » April 5th, 2015, 12:01 pm

Is it possible to use a channel one waveform to trigger a channel 2 waveform? I am triggering channel 1 (1kHz square wave) externally through the TTL but i want the channel 2 waveform (0.5Mhz) to burst at the channel 1 frequency. Is this possible on this device? Thanks for any help.

The AFG3022C does not have separate trigger ability between CH1 and CH2. They both use the same trigger event. You could use a second AFG and use the trigger out from the first AFG (CH1) to trigger the second AFG (CH2).

it is odd but if you set ch1 to continuous and ch2 to burst w/ external trigger, yes, you can use ch1 to trigger ch2.

alternatively, you can set a delay from trigger if you just need ch2 to do something later than ch1.
