I am not aware of any pro-grammatically command for obtaining the IP address. If the AFG is connected to the internet and you are remotely accessing the AFG, you would already have to know the IP address to connect to the AFG. Can you explain further your inquiry?

The example from the capture gets the ip address and port for DPO/MDO oscilloscopes.
Basically, i'm communicating with the instrument using VISA.
Why i want to obtain it's IP address. Because for DPO/MDO oscilloscopes i will use the ip address in order to save the oscillosope's waveform as png.
I want to do the same thing for AFG3000 series signal generator.
Is it possible ?

Thanks

Hi NDG1990,

The AFG3000C series only provides provisions for saving screen images to a USB thumb drive plugged into the front panel. This can be done via the front panel controls or by sending the command HCOPy:SDUMp[:IMMediate] to the instrument via the remote interface.

The AFG3000C does not have a web server so there is no web page where you could go to get the screen image.

The only option for saving the screen image of the AFG is to a USB drive plugged into the front panel.
