TDP1000 can't autozero with DPO5204B in the probe's manual mode

Post by sharonyam » October 24th, 2018, 11:14 pm

Hello,
I have quite a numbers of TDP1000 that couldn't have accurate measurements when using with DPO5204B.
The probe's internal offset could be eliminated in Auto mode, and I guess auto mode means the 4.25V range. However, when it switched to 42Vpk range, the DPO5204B showed a very large offset but the auto zero process still passed.

After auto zero was pressed in various mode and range:
~80mV offset in 4.25V range; ~(-ve)200mV offset in 42Vpk range

The oscilloscope's firmware has been updated, SPC passed, diagnostics passed.

This appears to be a bug with the “auto zero” function when operating the probe in the “Manual” range. It has been reported to our s/w team.
