TCP0030A and TCP0020 Peak Pulse Current time

Post by Tianxiang » June 28th, 2020, 1:01 pm

Hi there,

We have few TCP0030A and TCP0020, and we want to measure a system with inrush current while connecting to grid. The inrush current will be ~100A for 30us-3ms, I can find the specs in datasheet for both probe that max. peak current is 50A / 100A, but it does not spicify how long this probe will stand for this current level and we do not want to damage probe for probing 100A too long.

Can an expert tell me how long it can stand with 100A, and if we probing it longer than desired, will it damage the probe?

Thanks,
Tianxiang
