Probe hook tips?

Post by ollittm » February 16th, 2016, 6:22 am

We have several thousands of pounds worth of probes in the lab. And grand total of two hook tips for them.

So a simple question, where can I buy some more? I know the part code (013010708 and 013010707) but mouser et al say that ha-ha, no selling to you europeans, go buy a new 500Mhz probe :? Tektronix seriously is restricting export of plastic hook tips!?

There's one shop in ebay selling those tips for $11.23 .. and $183 in S&H. They only have two in stock in any case.

To add some insult to injury, the probe replacement parts table on this page does not work:
http://uk.tek.com/en-sg/node/1008766
From the link it seems to lead to foreign language web page that does not exist.
http://uk.tek.com/worldwide-page/zapasn ... -probnikam

And inexplicably the general probe replacement part listing is in russian. http://uk.tek.com/en-sg/node/1014363
Or perhaps Ukrainian. My Russian is a little rusty.

I finally found a place selling them in Europe. Elfa distrelec, originally a Swedish reseller.

It's interesting how difficult it's to replace something like this that people keep misplacing.

Some of our local distributors may not sell individual replacement parts. However, you can contact one of our sales offices http://www.tek.com/contact-us and order through them. As for the web pages, we are going through some changes, which may cause some missing or broken links until the changes have been fully implemented.
