I tried tekvisa version 4. It does see my AFG3052C with USB. I tried to connect with a USB connection. The mouse just stays on. It won't connect? Is there any software that will work?

I turned off DHCP and set my own IP address. I can now see the AFG3052C with Tekvisa 4.0. But the Arbexpress still won't see the AFG3052C. The Tekvis also will see the AFG3052C using USB.
I just want to use Arbexpress to retrieve or creat waveforms and send them to AFG3052C.

Buck,

I am trying to use ARBEXPRESS to connect the AFG3052C to my PC. Tekvisa 4.0 does see the USB and the LAN connection. The arbexpress will not connect to the AFG3052C. I tried NI Signal Express LE. It also failed to find the AFG3052C. I have saved several text files that I can import to the AFG3052C. Bur I can't connect to the AFG3052C. I can use the flash drive to transfer the files. But what is the point for ArbExpress if it won't find my instrumwent?

The ArbExpress will not connect to the AFG30562C. I want to take waveforms from a scope or Lab view and inject these signals into real hardware filters. Tektronic suporrt team has been trying to help. But we have not been able to connect to the AFG3052C.

it sounds to me that arbexpress will clearly not help you. i recommend you stop using it. furthermore, arbexpress won't help labview transfer waveforms.

within labview, can you write a *idn? and read the reply from the instrument using the VISA VIs? http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help ... unc_descr/

I was hoping I could take a file with a problem. I strange spike and use ArbExpress to send the duplicate waveform to a hardware filter I developed using Spice. Oh well! Maybee someday ArbExpress will work. Thank You for your response.

Thanks

Buck,

Thank you for the comments about ArbExpress. I am very dissapointed in this software. I needed to send CSV files to the AFG3052C. I needed to duplicate anomolies in our testing process. I spoke to Tech support this morning. I hope they can resolve this software problem. $3600 dollars is allot when I can't use it for my application. Tek makes excellent products. But this software so far is an embarrasment.

To be clear, ArbExpress is $0.

You are welcome to vent on the forums but we have a formal feedback form at http://e-sites2.tek.com/actionrequest/art_ui.home (log in required) Our product development teams do read these and quantified feedback is something we can act upon.

I did work with an applications engineer from Tektronic. He was able to make the connection via USB on his PC. The LAN port does not work. I have exausted what I can try. I will have to transfer files via a flash drive. I will use a short extension cable for the flash drive. I do not want to wear out the flash port. $3300 and I can't get USB? This really blew me away. I have always though of Tek as number #1.
Thanks for your response.
