How to edit the right TXT file to import my wave?

Post by OttawaRan » August 8th, 2013, 11:35 am

Dear Technical Support:
I edit a 4-level electrical signal in Matlab, and then I want to import my wave into the Tektronix 7000 AWG, and I find the only file format can be read is .txt format (because other file format is from AWG400/500 etc.), so I create a txt file, and writes as follows" x=[0 1 1 2 2 3 4 4 5 5 6 7 8 8 9 9 10 11 11 12 12 13 14];
y=[-0.5 -0.5 1 1 0.5 0.5 0.5 -1 -1 -0.5 -0.5 -0.5 -0.5 1 1 0.5 0.5 0.5 -1 -1 -0.5 -0.5 -0.5];", and x is the time slot, y is the vertical axis and unit is volts. So this is my Matlab 4-level signal x and y axis.
But the AWG write "File E:\4-level electrical signal . txt wrong format", and it is really upset. So I want to know how to edit the right txt file to import my signal into the AWG and make it works.
Look forward your suggestions and answers!

Regards!

for AWG7000, i've never had a problem with one sample per line. you do need dos style newlines and ascii encoding
