MDO4104B-3 Problem with string to float

I`m using the example code in the Video 'http://de.tek.com/support/faqs/programi ... ope-python' and at first it worked perfectly fine but now i always get the error 'ymult = float(scope.ask('WFMPRE:YMULT?'))
ValueError: could not convert string to float: :WFMPRE:YMULT 20.0000E-3' the osci is set on Default Setup. I don't now what to change. Maybe the Settings are wrong ?
Would apperciate a quick answer.

I suspect it relates to your code. I googled "could not convert string to float" and found several sites with information. Most helpful was http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8420 ... o-float-id.
