Unknown Tektronix 2764 (Solved)

Post by Remond » March 12th, 2021, 5:37 am

On page 1162 of the magazine "Electronics & Wireless Word" December 1988, there is an article about an experiment entitled "Thirty six nanoseconds faster than light".
In this article, it is written that the experiment was performed with a Tektronix 2764 oscilloscope; unfortunately from a research on the web, this model seems that it never existed.
I was interested to know its bandwidth and rise time.
In this article there are photos of some screenshots, would anyone recognize which oscilloscope they correspond to?
I will show you the link of the magazine.
Thank you for your attention.

After several consultations of user manuals of various Tektronix oscilloscopes, I came to the conclusion that the instrument used in this experiment is a Tek 2467. Evidently when they wrote the article, they did not have an eye on the instrument, so they went by memory, getting the order of the numbers wrong.
This is the link to the manual:
