Reading result from external trigger with LabVIEW

Post by Phydelectro » June 10th, 2021, 12:43 am

Hi all. I use a Keithley 2110 DMM to accurately measure a voltage at a given time, using the external trigger. It works very well since years.
Now, I'd like the DMM either to automatically send the measured value over the USB, or let my LabVIEW app read it, but I can't find out how to do this.
Each time I ask LabVIEW to read a value, it triggers a new sampling, erasing the one initiated with the external trigger.
There must be a way to simply read what is on the display without initiating a new sampling the input. Can anybody help? Many thanks in advance.
