I cannot get it to install on my MSO58. Used the same USB stick and procedure as I've always used for previous updates. Tried another USB stick as well. I can read and write the USB stick perfectly fine from the file utilities once the scope has booted so I'm pretty sure that is not the issue (and I have used it for previous updates on the same scope). Double checked as well that firmware.img is the only file on the stick. I tried downloading the zip file again, but same result.
Is it possible the firmware image posted - is corrupt?
3. Power down the oscilloscope.
4. Insert the USB media into any of the USB Host ports on the
front of the oscilloscope. (The host ports on the rear of the
oscilloscope may also be used.)
5. Power on the oscilloscope.
After a few seconds, the screen should display a message stating
that the firmware upgrade procedure is in progress.
This will not work. You have to power on the scope, wait until it is fully booted and then insert the USB stick.
