Model 3390 Noise waveform spectral density
Model 3390 Noise waveform spectral density
I'm looking for a detailed specification of the power (or amplitude) spectral density of the 3390's noise waveform. I'm hoping to use it in an application which requires uniform power in the 100Hz-100kHz region. None of the documents I've found describe the spectrum of the noise waveform in detail; they just cite the bandwidth.

Re: Model 3390 Noise waveform spectral density
I have not been able to find any such waveforms on the 3390.
I will check with engineering.

Try this...
1. Connect the 10MHz output on one unit to the 10MHz input on the other unit(s).
2. Set all instruments to the same frequency.
3. Set the phase relationship between the instruments by
pressing UTILITY and selecting OUTPUT SET UP.
4. Then select Adj Phase.
Adjust the phase until you get the required phase between the units.
Use an oscilloscope to verify the phase relationship
