DMM6500 LabView Read (Multiple Item) error: trigger model

Post by [email protected] » January 22nd, 2019, 11:35 am

I'm testing the LabVIEW example in Keithley's DMM6500 driver lib: Keithley DMM6500 DAQ6500 Series General Scanning.vi
(I have tried simpler examples of the lib before and they work).

I've set the pseudocard to 0 because no card installed.
The example runs fine until step Read (Multiple Item)
When I enter that point, the error signal is still green, all ok.

When I execute Read (Multiple Item) I get this error:

Error:
Instrument reports:
2710,"Unable to initiate, no block number 1 in trigger model;1;2019/01/22 20:32:57.568"
0,"No error;0;0 0"

Complete call chain:
Keithley DMM6500 DAQ6500 Series.lvlib:Error Query.vi
Keithley DMM6500 DAQ6500 Series.lvlib:Query Operation Complete.vi
Keithley DMM6500 DAQ6500 Series.lvlib:Read (Multiple Points).vi
Keithley DMM6500 DAQ6500 Series General Scanning.vi

When I change the Read to Single Item and change the output to a normal indicator it works. The error appears for Multiple Item only.

I've attached a screen capture before and after the Read block.
What error do I make?

I've got the exact same problem as you :

Instrument reports:
2710,"Unable to initiate, no block number 1 in trigger model;1;2021/06/09 16:11:22.249"
0,"No error;0;0 0"

And I think I tried to change (almost) all parameter.
Maybe the problem is the trigger model, because if I check the "idle state" directly on the DMM6500 it's "written initiate trigger model". And even if I want to understand this example, my main goal is to have a continuous measurement (I mean one sample each 5 seconds for the duration of my experiment)

Does anybody managed to get past this problem in the "General scanning example" by any chance ?

Thanks for your reading time anyway !

I'm stuck.
Did anybody have the same problem on this "general scanning.vi" example ?
I managed without problem to use the "single point.vi" in this example, but whatever parameters I put or change in the VIs, I cannot get rid of this "Error -1074000000 occurred at Keithley DMM6500 DAQ6500 Series.lvlib:Error Query.vi" (on LabVIEW) and "error 2710 unable to initiate no block number 1 in trigger model".
The problem shouldn't be the trigger as in this example the "read (multiple points).vi" is using an immediate trigger,
Might it be a wrong string in the example that I didn't parametrized correctly ?
I'm desperately trying to get a continuous measurement (a scan each 5 seconds) of 2w resistance when I use this example (maybe it's the wrong one anyway for my application). And then be able to export the measures when my test is over.

If somebody had the same problem (and manages to solve it :) has the power to enlighten me that would be wonderful,
And thank you for your reading time anyway !
