synchronize NPLC around zero of 50Hz power line

Post by CH2009 » November 27th, 2015, 9:29 am

Hello,

I have a question about NPLC configuration for a dmm 2701 using a multiplexing card 7706. I would like to know if it is possible to perform a measure with NPLC inferior to 1 and centered around zero of 50Hz power line?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

I assume you are going to use your DMM in DCV mode.
Here you can adjust the NPLC setting as you think of appropriate, e.g. select 0.1 NPLC if a fast
measurement is recommended and higher noise can be tolerated &c..
Generally the 2701 A/D converter is of an integrating type, i.e. the best 50 Hz suppression will
be with an integer number setting for the NPLC parameter.
