Keithley 2700 Continuous Measurement with Scanner Card (in LabVIEW)

Post by smith1987 » February 14th, 2016, 6:36 pm

Dear All,

Please help me to figure out , i have a keithley 2700 with the scanner card (7702) to measure 40 resistor sequentially with interupt feature, the process will be stop once there's trigger from interupt pin (from external IO) and then will continue with the last position of resistor after we push the resume button. The basic measurement attached in below the - and vi, the process work properly but too slowly,
because i sent looping:

Code: Select all

ROUT:SCAN:LSEL INT
--> to enable scanning

then process measurement, and then

Code: Select all

ROUT:SCAN:LSEL NONE
---> to disable and prevent error/ malfunction setting

Sorry for my bad english. Thanks

Smith.

The reason the unit is measuring ohms is you are not scanning.
Send this command once , outside of the loop. This is the channel auto configure command.

:ROUTE:CLOSE:ACON ON

Also, move the command

:ROUTE:SCAN:LSEL INT

Outside of the loop.
It only needs to be sent once, just like :ROUT:CLOSE:ACON ON
That should increase the rate.

Hi Dale,

Thanks for your help, but honestly the purpose of the keithley are measuring the ohms per single unit with increment channel.
I had try the Auto Configure Command that you sent to me outside the loop, but it's measure the voltage. I really appreciate if you would to help me by send the sample vi.

Try the attached VI.
It is faster but not maximum rate.
The method you have chosen to do this is a lot of software tricks to “scan” through the channels. This means the 2700 is not scanning on its own, it is being controlled by the software.
I suspect you are doing this for the interrupt feature you mention.
