Problem with web interface, Java 8, Win 10, 3706a firmware 1.54a

Post by fwong601 » June 25th, 2021, 10:02 am

I am trying to communicate with my 3706a using the web interface either through Chrome, MS Edge or MS IE.
I am running into the same problems identified in search.php?keywords=3706a+java+web+interface.
I tried setting the Java security lower and including the IP address of my 3706a in the exception list.
I am getting the message 'upgrade to Java 6 or higher' like others before.

Has anyone solved this problem?
Thanks for any help.

I use IE version 1909 on Win10 as the browser for the Java internal web page.

My 3706A is at firmware 1.57b.
Java Control Panel reports version 8 update 291
IP address of my 3706A is in Exception List in Java Control Panel,
Security level High (not Very High)
Check Box on Enable Java content for browser.

In IE, a pop up for security warning. Is it behind your browser window?
Check the box and Run.

In Java Console you can enable a console window. It might gives some insight.

Thank you for the information Andrea.
The web interface only works with IE on Win 10.
I found IE on my system by typing 'internet explorer' in the search window.

Regards, Frank
