Driver issue with 3706A

Post by h&psoftware » January 10th, 2018, 5:13 am

Thank god, I have a new problem!

My Keithley 3706A System Switch is now listed in the device manager under USB Devices with Code 52: "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device".

As a first step I removed the device from the device manager so it hopefully would reinstall itself. It did'nt.

Now I struggle with the installation of all needet software:
1. IviSharedComponents64_242.exe,
2. IviNetSharedComponents64_Fx20_1.4.0.exe,
3. Ke37XX.1.0.3.0.msi,
4. Keithley TestScriptBuilder (KTS-850G03.exe) & TSBAddIn_3700S_1.1.7.exe.
But the system switch is always listet as unknown device without driver (Code 28).

What did I miss?

kind regards
Stephan

Hi Stephan,

The 3706A is a USBTMC compliant instrument so it can use any generic USBTMC driver. These drivers are included with any vendors VISA communication software layer. I would recommend using NI-VISA for this. The latest version as of today can be downloaded from the following URL.
