3761 Voltage Switching Issue

Post by lmennel » July 29th, 2020, 6:16 am

Hello,

I am using a 3706A-S switch with 3761 low current multiplexer cards.
According to the manual (3761-900-01 Rev. A / July 2017 Section 3) the 3761 card has two different modes: the current switching mode (default) and the voltage switching mode. In the manual it also says that one can switch to the voltage switching mode by setting "slot[slot_3761].voltsampsmode = 0". However, I am not able to set or get this value on any of my 3761 cards. When I query the present mode "print(slot[slot_3761].voltsampsmode)", I only get a 'nil' response. When I try to set this value, I see "Error Code -286: TSP runtime error. Cannot modify read only table" on the switch display.

Am I doing something wrong here? Or is there another way to get the 3761 card into the voltage switching mode?

Thank you!

I have found the error myself.
The issue was that the 3706A-S firmware. I had it on version 1.54. However, the 3761 card is only compatible with version 1.55 or higher. I did not realize earlier because all switching functionalities were working fine even with the old, incompatible firmware version.
After upgrading the firmware to the newest I could find (1.57b) everything is working as intended.
