set up 2304A to read current

I am trying get currentvaleu by GPIB , and I wanna know which command(procedure) I send to get the current value that show in display

FETCH? will return the last reading. READ? will initiate another reading to be taken and fetch the reading back to your computer. Both of those commands however require you to set up your measurement first as you would like to do it. Typically that is done in the SENSE subsystem portion of the commands. The 2304A user manual has a section in the SCPI command reference (section 4) showing you all of the commands possible with that and section 3 goes over all of the GPIB operation.
