on page 43 it states
"Do NOT jumper the sense inputs and supply outputs at the rear of the supply!..."
on page 44 it states
"...In this connection scheme, the sense inputs and supply outputs are jumpered at the rear of the supply..."
Is the gist here, in the case of page 43, merely that the voltage regulation will not be achieved? It is still stable correct?
Our application has a fairly light load and good thick wires to the 2306 and very little dynamic loading so we are seeing very little voltage drop, which is acceoptable. With the 4 wire sense, the voltage is overshooting, we think because of the inductance of the long sense lines, so we would like to short the sense to the supply outputs at the rear of the supply.

The two figures from the manual are illustrating remote sense vs. local sense connections.
In all cases, the sense lines must be connected to provide feedback to the voltage source. Making these connections at the rear of the supply (local sense) should be fine.
