2303 Sense Lines

Post by sanides » July 25th, 2012, 2:38 pm

I have two 2303 power supplies, one of them when I do NOT connect the sense and power lines together gives me the message "OUTPUT GOING OFF, SENSE LEAD BROKEN" (this is what I expect), however the other power supplies works just fine. I think the second power supply has somehow the connection between power and sense internally done. Is it possible to configure this short by software, or this is an actual hardware problem with the power supply.

Thanks.

The Model 2303 sense lines need to connected either at the instrument or at the device.
But they need to be hardwired at either place.
There is no software command to do this, it is only hardware.
Otherwise the circuitry will not operate properly.
