2306 Lab Security

I'm presently working on an electronics lab for entrepreneurs and was attaching a label to all equipment via etching, would etching ruin the accuracy of the test equipment, I have a 2306. As in label I mean company name so that it can be returned anti theft and things of that nature

Hello,

There are various methods for etching. Generally speaking, there shouldn't be any possible damage to the instrument or reduction in accuracy unless the process in some way exposes the internal circuitry to physical damage. I suggest avoiding areas such as the touch pads on the front panel. Otherwise, you should be fine.

Thanks I was hoping that the vibrations would not cause any damage with the sodering
