Current measurement bandwidth for 2300 series

Post by csawabini » February 8th, 2013, 2:40 pm

What is the current measurement bandwidth for the 2300 series power supplies? How often is it updated? Does the measurement reflect the average current consumed over some window? Is the window adjustable? Is it possible to get a peak reading? Please advise. Thanks.

The model 2308 measures pulsed currents with the following features:
- measure during the high portion of pulse
- measure idle current or low portion of pulse
- measure the average current

It uses rising edge above a programmable threshold to detect the high pulse and uses falling edge detection for the low portion of pulse.
The integration time for the measurement is programmable in increments of 33.3usec.

The pulse widths can be as short as 50usec and as long as 833msec.
