On the 2304 (or any other Keithley supplies) is there a settable sink current limit?
I need to purchase a power supply to cycle batteries at various charge and discharge currents, but without buying a single-purpose device.

Re: 2304 sink current limit
Any of the 2300, 2400 or 2600 series units can sink current.
All you do is set the unit to source voltage.
The key is to source the voltage that is lower than the device voltage.
And now set the current limit to what you want as the sink current.
For example
Drain a 1.5V battery at a 100mA rate,
Set the unit to source 1V and a current compliance of 100mA.
That should do it.

Re: 2304 sink current limit
Thanks for the reply Dale.I posted this before reading the free manual for the various supplies, and it looks like they do not all have the ability to regulate sinked current. Specifically, the 2303 cannot.
From the 2303 manual, page 42
"During sink operation, the power supply does not regulate current. It acts only as a constant voltage load, not as a constant current load."
Do you know of any other 2300, 2400, or 2600 models that do not regulate the sinked current?

They all can sink current.
Model 2303 sink is limited to 2A.
