one Problem solved, next Problem on the Desk.
I could not find an possibility to calculate or measure the low and high peak of an input signal with the DMM 2015-p.
I thought it may be possible using Trace Command to fill the input buffer with readings. then using calc2:form:max to figure the maximum amplitude of my signal.
and also using the above command sequence altered by using calc2:form:min to figure the minimum amplitude of my signal.
furthermore details on the issue:
i have an UUT that is stimulated with TTL Level square wave signal.
The output of the UUT has to to be measured regarding the amplification factor of the UUT.
So i need to measure the Maximum Peak of the UUT output (about 10 Volts) and the Minimum Peak of the output (about 0 Volts).
I did try to measure using :dist:peak:max? using the sequence in user manual on page 2-51 (table 2-4) but i just get an error message (-221 and -420)

init:cont off Set the trigger model for single reading mode.
trig:count 1 Set trigger count to 1.
func ‘dist’ Set the function to measure distortion.
dist:freq 20 Force the analysis to 20Hz frequency bins.
outp:freq 1000 Program the output sine wave frequency.
outp:ampl 0.250 Program the output sine wave amplitude.
outp on Turn on source.
init Trigger a reading.
fetch? Request reading to synchronize.
dist:peak:max? Return the frequency, amplitude pair of the maximum peak value.
dist:peak:next? Search buffer for the second highest peak value.
dist:peak:next? Search buffer for the third highest peak value.

exactly that i did try to use, why it failed the first time? i think because in the labview vi i want to query the max amplitude i allready used the sense subsystem?
however this way just gives me the max peak of my output signal, the min amplitude is still to be determined.
I worked around my problem using an usb-scope, that gives me more readings to determine the max and min of my output signal.
