Support of Windows 7 XP-Mode

does the KUSB-488B support the Windows 7 XP-Mode ?

The KUSB-488B has a Win7 driver, see the link below:

In theory it should also be supported in XP mode, have you tried either of these options?

The KUSB is not supported in Windows XP Mode in Windows 7. In fact there is not much in the way of hardware that IS supported by it. This is because Windows XP mode is actually just a Virtual Machine loaded with Windows XP. The Windows Virtual Machine does not have access to USB devices located on the host computer with the exception of flash drives because they just appear on the host as hard drives so there is a translation layer there.
Note that this is not a limitation of the KUSB driver but rather a limitation of Windows Virtual Machine. Until Windows Virtual Machine is updated to share the host computers USB controller with the Virtual Computer (which will probably will never happen during the life of Windows 7), the KUSB will never be supported in Win7's Windows XP mode.
