776 Firmware

Post by nrohrer » February 1st, 2012, 2:11 pm

I read on the website that it is possible to change the command protocol on the 776/2.4G/R via a firmware change. Specifically I want to use DDC rather than SCPI.

Is the user able to change the firmware? If so, is there a procedure and location where the necessary file can be acquired?

Thanks in advance,
Neil

There is no way to change from SCPI to DDC in the 776.

There was a firmware as well as an IEEE chip change. We no longer have these parts to service the 776 /R instruments.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
