Get a list of node numbers on TSP link

Post by niku222 » January 29th, 2015, 2:10 pm

Is there a way to find which node numbers are present on the TSP network.
nodesFound = tsplink.reset() will show how many but what I need to find is what are the actual node numbers prsent.

Thanks

There is no built in function that provides that information. If you want a list of the nodes in this system, then I would do something like the following:

local myNodes = {} -- Declare a table to hold the list of nodes in the system
local j = 1
for i = 1 to 64 do -- The highest allowed node number is 64
if node then -- If the node exists, then add it to list
myNodes[j] = i
j = j + 1
end
end
printbuffer(1, table.getn(myNodes), myNodes) -- Output the list nodes as a comma separated string

If you want to use all global variables, then you can simply eliminate the “local” keyword.

Hi Dale,

Can you suggest what I can use within the loop to detect the nodes pl?
I tried node{N}.reset node[4].model etc but didn't work.

thanks

Wouldn't it be possible to use the node table somehow? At least, the "Series 2600B System SourceMeter Instrument Reference Manual" states on page 6-48 "Commands for remote nodes are stored in the node table. An individual node is accessed as node[N]"

Shouldn't it be possible to iterate over "node" and extract the data somehow? I tried it with a single 2602B (node number is 3) however, there was no entry in node(?)
