To satisfy OHS requirements we want to limit the output of the 2657A to 1kV. There is the possibility to set the OVP to 1kV, but after restarting the 2657A the OVP is disabled and saving and loading setups at start (POWERON) does not affect the OVP settings. Furthermore after an error the OVP settings are also disabled.
Is there an easy method to limit the ouput voltage as for the 2400 without an external device?

You could create an autoexec script which would apply the OVP setting each time the instrument boots up. Check the manual on autoexec topic.
However, these software based approaches to limiting the output voltage, while helpful, most likely do not 100% satisfy OHS requirements.
