BNC Male to Male Cable for MDO4104C AFG

Post by rlwoods » January 6th, 2018, 3:38 pm

Hi,

I would like to get recommended Tektronix BNC male-male cables for use with the AFG on the MDO4104C. The datasheet of the unit lists the following regarding the DC offset range: +-2.5 V into Hi-Z; +- 1.25 V into 50 ohm.

Given this information, what specific Tektronix BNC male-male cable(s) would be appropriate for the scope for use in the Hi-Z range?

Any other considerations concerning the cabling would be appreciated.

Robert

Hi rlwoods,

Any standard 50 Ohm male to male BNC cable will work for what you are trying to do. The frequency output from the AFG is not that high that anything special is needed. The model 4801 1.2m male to male BNC to male BNC cable would work just fine. You can find information on this cable in the Cable Selector Guide at the following URL.
