DPO2012 oscilloscope and P2220 Passive Voltage Probe

Post by [email protected] » July 9th, 2019, 10:58 pm

Hello,

I have DPO2012 oscilloscope and P2220 Passive Voltage Probe.
I want use DPO2012 with P2220 but I read your article. "https://www.tek.com/support/faqs/what-d ... -and-p2221"
I understand tahe the capacitance values of the two products are not compatible. But i have 2 pieces P2220 probes so i have to use.
What kind of problems can I face because of the capacitance adaptation problem?

Thanks.

Best regards.

You will not be able to correctly compensate the probe to the scope channel input. An uncompensated probe can lead to various measurement errors, especially in measuring pulse rise or fall times.
