How many readings are in buffer?

Post by gelmand » July 26th, 2012, 8:51 am

Hello,

I was wondering if there is an SCPI command that querys the question "how many reading are currently in buffer?" I know for the 6221 there is :TRAC:POIN:ACT? but is there something similar for the 2182A?

Thank you,
Dan

The closest command is
:TRACE:FREE?
This will tell you the number of points that are still available.
So in a way it is telling you the inverse of how many points are taken.
